Lunch with Lady L

“Elegant” may not be the first word that comes to mind when describing Bangkok’s restaurants (it’s often better paired with e.g. Parisian cafes). But in the case of Lady L, a luxurious European bistro, using it becomes a complete exception. Situated in the heart of Bangkok’s CBD, this hidden gem is the perfect place for a bit of girly teatime gossip.

Named after the founder Lursakdi Sampatisiri, one of Thailand’s most important businesswomen, Lady L boasts two dining room settings. An elegant marble-themed interior and an airy glass room topped with lush greenery. For those Instagrammable, ladylike OOTD shots, make sure you get a table in the latter.

It’s hard to pick a favourite from the menu (there are just too many good choices!). But if I had to choose, then I’d definitely recommend the scrumptious roast chicken. The cafe also serves a variety of sweet and savoury pastries, where the almond croissant is an absolute must for breakfast time. In truth, this is not a cheap restaurant at all and is often packed with mingling socialites. However, if you fancy treating yourself to a bit of pure indulgence and are an avid Instagrammer, then Lady L is a perfect photogenic dining choice.

Tip: Forget walk-ins, call in advance to secure a table to avoid disappointment
